World Cup 2026 – Day 13

Last games of Round 2.

Group K
Portugal 5 (117/311) v. Uzbek 0 (100/354)
As I predicted, Portugal was always going to win big. Congrats on beating a team that has no business being in this tournament. Also Ronaldo scored (twice). woo. way to go guy.

Now, I am not one to be a hater, but if I were I might say something like this: (1) it is clear that CR7s teammates felt forced to cheer for him when he scored. #diva. Look at this face

This guy is not happy.

(2) CR7 couldn’t just celebrate with his team, he had to do his little celebration on his own. ps he looks like he is having a massive fart

A man-child about to let out the biggest fart ever.

(3) CR7 didn’t even take the free kick that Portugal scored on. I can only imagine this happened because he knew he would miss. #washed (4) Only 3 teammates celebrated with CR7 after his second goal (5) He couldn’t even score in the second half. Just to be clear again, as I am not a hater I would not say these things, but I just want to keep everyone informed of what a hater might say.

Colombia 1 (1/1,871) v. DR Congo 0 (10/1,110)
The battle of the birds. Colombia was the better team, but Congo didn’t go down without a fight. Congo = not a bad team.

Group L
England 0 (145/268 UK) v. Ghana 0 (42/681)
England looked more like themselves today. Dominate the ball without to many great chances. (Best chance was a header off the crossbar in the 86th) More importantly, Ghana got screwed. They should have had a pk.

This is not legal.

Panama 0 (20/889) v. Croatia 1 (121/306)
Panama was so much better than Croatia in the first half, but being better doesn’t matter if you don’t score. Croatia woke up in the second half and got the goal early in the half. By the end of the half though, Panama was once again the better team. But again, no goals.

Tomorrow’s games – Round 3
You thought you had seen a lot of soccer? Buckle up and think again. The next four days will have 6 games per day over three time slots. All the teams in each group play at the exact same time. Why, you might ask? Soccer players are cheaters. More specifically, in the 1994 World Cup, West Germany and Austria played their final group play game and colluded to make sure they both got through. They were able to do this because the other two teams in their group—Algeria and Chile—had already played, so West Germany and Austria knew what the score needed to be in their game for both to get through. There was a total of 2 shots on goal in the game, West Germany won 1-0, and both teams advanced. After that game, FIFA (always worried about cheating or even the appearance of impropriety) made sure that the final game of each group play is played at the same time to avoid what happened in 1994. Also, now with third place teams going through, who knows who will get through. But, as your in-house expert I will give you all the inside information

Group B – 3 pm
Swiss v. Canada – Who cares/both in knockouts/Swiss has to win to get group lead
B&H v. Qatar – winner could get through, if they do high chance they play USA

Group C – 6 pm – only Haiti for sure not through
Morocco v. Haiti – Morocco win with lots of goals = likely lead of group
Scotland v. Brazil – Scotland probably through, but a point would make it better

Group A – 9 pm – only S. Africa for sure not through (called it)
S. Africa v. S. Korea (battle of the Souths) – Korea needs one point to ensure second in the group
Czechia v. Mexico – Czechia needs to win, Mexico has clinched the group so won’t play all their normal starters
